I came to the world of therapy the long way; following decades of outdoor leadership; adventure work; and mountain guiding. I found connections between my work as an outdoor leader and my work as a therapist. I believe the same principle used by leaders to help folks achieve their goals in the backcountry apply to our everyday lives. I feel I can be most helpful to those who accept being challenged and are working towards goals. I combine the principles of experiential education with more traditional modalities. I believe good therapy should be safe but also effortful and aspiring to bolster personal growth.

I see therapy as a safe place to learn about and enhance ourselves. It's an opportunity to understand emotions and why you make the choices that can lead to unhappiness and frustration. I am a skilled general clinician with over 15 years of experience providing individual and group therapy in outpatient practice settings; schools; and inpatient programs.I help people who are dealing with postpartum depression; and relationship issues identify their thoughts and behaviors in order to overcome struggles and reach their full potential.
