The Talkspace Access Project

We are proud to announce The Talkspace Access Project, an initiative focused on a more equitable distribution of mental health resources. To launch this important work, we have created a donation fund in partnership with Demi Lovato, offering 1,000 free months of therapy, with The Loveland Foundation to be the first donation recipient.

The world is facing an unprecedented mental health crisis

Over 50% of Americans struggle with their mental health

What’s more, two-thirds of people with a known mental health illness are not seeking treatment. In response to this staggering statistic, we are doubling down on our efforts to make therapy and other mental health resources more accessible to the communities that need it most.

Our mission

We believe in a world in which mental health resources should be accessible to anyone who wants or needs them. Unfortunately, as the need for mental health care grows, so does the inequity when it comes to the distribution of these resources. The Talkspace Access Project was created to help bridge this gap by providing resources to underserved communities via free 1:1 therapy, group support, or through the distribution of mental health resources on the local level.

Far too many people still can’t find or afford quality mental health care, especially in communities of color. I am proud to partner with Talkspace to break down some of these barriers through this initiative... I hope we can improve access to care and break down stigmas in communities where the need is great and growing every day.
